where to buy a chainsaw

Chainsaws can power their way through downed trees, pruning jobs and firewood tasks. From pole saws and electric chainsaws to cordless chainsaws, The Home Depot carries a wide selection of quality chainsaws to help you power through any project.

Gas chainsaws are the most powerful and ideally suited for large tasks, but they require gas and oil and are the loudest and heaviest chainsaws. This is the best chainsaw for cutting down trees if that is a job you have to do regularly. If you have to do a lot of cutting in a wooded area, a gas chainsaw is a great way to go.

Cordless chainsaws are powered by a rechargeable battery and can reach various levels of power without being attached to a cord. This gives the user greater mobility. Cordless chainsaws are lighter and easier to handle than gas chainsaws and most corded electric chainsaws. They are also very quiet to operate which makes them the best chainsaws for home use.

Pole saws, or pruner chainsaws, feature the bar and chain of a typical chainsaw mounted on the end of a fixed or telescoping pole. The length of the pole can be 10-feet or more. The bar length on pole saws ranges from 4 inches to 12 inches, depending on the model. Most pole saw bars are 8 or 10 inches long.

Get a Grip and Stay GroundedGrip gas-powered saws firmly when pull-starting and keep the saw on the ground; most handles include a spot for securing the saw with one foot while pulling the starter cord. Never saw while on a ladder or use the saw above shoulder height. If you must cut above shoulder height, use an electric lopper, whose encased cutting jaw makes it safer to use than a chainsaw, or hire a pro. And never saw using the tip of the chain and bar, where kickback can occur.

Extra guard links and a less aggressive cutting profile help keep the chain from taking too large a bite, which can cause kickback. Most chainsaws also have a bar with a narrow tip or nose to limit the cutting area that generates the most kickback.

These sharp spikes near the base of the bar bite into logs and serve as a fulcrum, letting you pivot the bar and chain downward while cutting logs on a sawbuck or log stand. Most chainsaws include this simple feature; metal spikes tend to work better than plastic ones.

Echo is one of the leading brands of gas-engine chainsaws. Models come in a variety of bar lengths, from 12 inches to upward of 20 inches, and are marketed to consumers and professionals. Echo chainsaws can be purchased from dealers and at Home Depot. More recently, Echo has started to sell battery-powered chainsaws.

Homelite has a handful of gas and electric chainsaws. Homelite chainsaw lengths range from 14 inches to 18 inches, and all models are marketed to consumers. Electric models have smaller bar lengths than their gas counterparts. Homelite chainsaws can be purchased from dealers and at Home Depot.

Stihl makes consumer and professional-grade gas and electric chainsaws. Its models come in a variety of bar lengths, from 12 inches to upward of 20 inches; the electric chainsaws have smaller bar lengths than their gas counterparts. Stihl sells its brand exclusively through outdoor power equipment dealers.

Electric chainsaws are available in corded or battery-powered varieties. They have less power than gas-powered chainsaws. A corded saw has as much power as a mid-range gas saw, while battery-operated chainsaws tend to have even less power.

Anti-vibration: To reduce fatigue, look for a chainsaw with rubberized handles and anti-vibration features. This is particularly useful on gas-powered saws, which have more vibration due to the moving parts of the engine.

A typical homeowner should expect to spend between $100 to $500 for a chainsaw. There are plenty of saws on the market that cost far more, but they are primarily aimed at professionals who use these tools all day and depend on them for their lives and livelihood.

The Chainsaw is a deadly mechanical melee weapon released on October 17th, 2020, as a part of the v1.0.0 pre-beta release of Criminality. It is currently only available at dealers and can be purchased for $400 with a level requirement of 40. It has unique traits like dealing multiple hits with one click, cannot typically be blocked, and can full kill players very quickly. While holding the chainsaw you have less jump power and movement speed, you are however given a speed boost when attacking with the chainsaw. Even with said boost, targets can easily outrun you.

The chainsaw is possibly the deadliest weapon available when it comes to close quarters combat, as can dismember limbs before you can react, likely killing you in the process. The chainsaw also features one of the most powerful stuns in the game, nearly fully stopping any player hit by a single tick. When combined with rage dose and played smartly, killing a gang could be considered an easy task. Due to its hefty stamina usage it's recommended to make sure to get the jump on your opponents and get them to a killed/downed state in one attack to prevent depletion of stamina. The Chainsaw is also very good at killing armored players, even capable of downing a Tier-3 Kit With a full activation (possible but unlikely).

When using the chainsaw it is recommended to lure targets into confined spaces and alleyways, this will help to negate some of the mobility downsides. Pairing the chainsaw with throwables like the Flashbang and Stun Grenade make for great combos, as they can almost completely negate the mobility problem along with the sounds of the chainsaw. With the title of most expensive melee, most players would say that it underdelivers at face value. It's a tediously difficult weapon to master, however with moderate practice it can become one of the most powerful weapons in the game.

I got your sharpener in the mail today. GREAT job! This thing works so well. Just plain IMPRESSIVE! My chains are sharper than when I bought them. Not to mention this thing is so easy to use and precise. Everybody who owns a chainsaw needs one of these. I hope you and your business do well. May you sell one of these to everyone who owns a chain saw. Thank you again.

Chainsaws are completely independent tools that can only be used in first-person mode. There is no need to buy any vehicle or other machinery to use a Chainsaw. They do not use any fuel, do not require any input materials, and do not need to be stored anywhere - they are always in the player's inventory and can be pulled out and used at any time.

Note that when buying Chainsaws, there is no confirmation dialog or information screen for each model of Chainsaw, like there is for other tools. Once you select a model from the list, the game will immediately buy that model for you (and spend your money) without asking. Be careful not to accidentally buy a chainsaw when you are low on money.

After buying a chainsaw, it will remain in your inventory for the rest of the game. There is no way to sell a Chainsaw. Because Chainsaws are in your inventory, there's no need to store them anywhere - they don't take up any space. You can pull out a chainsaw "from thin air" whenever you need to use it, and when you're done you can put it away immediately into your inventory.

1. Select the tree you wish to cut down, and approach it in First-Person mode (on foot, not in a vehicle). Pull out your chainsaw by using the correct button First-Person Mode: Change ToolDefault Buttons: Mouse Scroll Up/Down ?? ??. It will appear in your hands, and be turned on automatically.

2. Put the edge of the Chainsaw close to the trunk of the tree, where you wish to cut it. Generally, it is a good idea to cut as close to the ground as possible, to maximize the size of the resulting log (and thus the profits from selling it). You can usually cut closer to the ground by crouching First-Person Mode: CrouchDefault Buttons: L.Ctrl ?? ??.

3. Select the angle of the cut by rotating your chainsaw First-Person Mode: Rotate ChainsawDefault Buttons: LMB + Drag Right/Left ?? ?? to the desired angle. You can rotate to any angle between completely vertical and completely horizontal. Horizontal cuts give the most profit, but you may need to push the tree over manually afterwards with a vehicle or tool, otherwise it might not fall. A diagonal cut increases the chance that the tree will fall over, but reduces the profits from selling the tree by a small amount. 041b061a72
